So, Elaina wants to be Princess Aurora this year for Halloween. I thought about just buying her one, but those dang Disney costumes are $20 a piece at least, and they really are poor quality. And I know this girl is going to wear her costume just about every other day until it wears out, so I really want it to be sturdy. So that means making one and sewing the heck out of it to reinforce the seams. Problem was, I couldn't find any tutorials or patterns or anything for Princess Aurora costumes for a toddler. There were costumes sold on Etsy, but it seems that Princess Aurora is one of the harder costumes? I don't know, but the lack of tutorials made me nervous. So I took a Cinderella tutorial and converted it to Aurora:

And here's the final product:
Sad thing. She hates the shoulder cover-up thingy. I think it's what makes the costume look "Aurora-y" But it's her costume, so I've made it detachable, and hopefully it will grow on her before October 31. Happy pre-fall, everyone!
