Elaina is a very talkative girl! Too bad I'm the only one who understands her :) She says just about everything now, but every once in a while she'll ask me what the name of something is. Her favorite phrases are probably "Mommy, I'm not tired." and "Laina so hungry, Laina wants some treats!" She really likes to play pretend and go outside with McKay. She has a new friend though named Daniel, who she really likes. Daniel is the little boy who lives next door, and goes to nursery with Elaina. They hold hands in Nursery and even try to dance with each other. When I asked Elaina if she liked Daniel, she said, "I LOVE Daniel." So cute...But even with Daniel right next door, Elaina's favorite playmate is McKay. She asks for McKay when I put him down for his nap, and bugs me to wake him up for her. I love how well they play together. Here's some pictures of Elaina
McKay is so smiley as always. His communication skills are improving, both verbally and physically. He'll bring me his shoes to tell me he needs to go outside, or he'll put his hand in mine to lead me where he wants to go. He knows what "Be soft" means and what "McKay! Get out of there right now!" means, and when he's in trouble, he'll turn toward you, give you a grin and wag his finger at you to indicate "No, No." It's so disarming, I'm not sure how I'm ever going to discipline this boy. He's just so happy! Except when he's not. When he's not, he runs off in the opposite direction, and buries his face in the closest upholstered piece of furniture. He cries for about five seconds, and then goes about doing something else. He's such a character. Words McKay says now are : Bye-Bye, Uh-oh, What's that (whuzzat?), Hi, All done, and momma and dadda of course. Here's some pictures of McKay.
And here's some video of them too!
